B. Kompetensi Dasar
Writing :Mengungkapkan makna dan langkah retorika dalam esei pendek sederhana dengan menggunakan ragam bahasa tulis secara akurat, lancer dan berterima untuk berinteraksi dengan lingkungan sekitar dalam teks berbentuk descriptive dan recount.
I. Tujuan Pembelajaran ( indicator)
Pada
akhir pembelajaran siswa diharapkan dapat :
a.       Siswa dapat mengidentifikasi struktur memo singkat: address, body dan signature  secara
        
 tepat.
b.      Siswa dapat menemukan informasi rinci dalam memo singkat dengan cepat.
c.       Siswa dapat membuat pesan singkat berupa memo.
       Karaktersiswa yang diharapkan :         
Dapat dipercaya (Trustworthines)
Rasa hormat dan perhatian (respect)
Tekun (diligence )
 2.  Materi pembelajaran
Memo is a message that is written shortly, clearly, and easy to be understood. Memo can be said formal when it is used as a formal statement letter, such as a message from a leader to employee. But it can be said informal when it is used as an informal statement letter, such as a message that is sent among friends, relatives, or other persons.
There are two kinds of Memo
1.      Formal Memo
There are two parts of the form of the formal memo:
a.
Head of memo
-          Receiver/acceptor
-          Sender
-          Matter and date
-          Signature and name
b.Content
2.      Informal Memo
There are two parts of the form of the informal memo:
a.       Head of memo                                        b. Content
-          Receiver/acceptor                        -  Sender (name)

The structure of a memo :
           = Address
           = Body
           = Signature

The Purpose of a memo :
To tell the readers a message or short information

HOW TO WRITE A MEMO
Memo has three parts   : Address, body, and signture.
1. Address
        This part has two columns : TO, and FROM. Write the name of the addressee on the column of TO, and write your name on the column of FROM.
2. Body
        This part is the content of the message. Write your message. Don’t forget to say ‘thank you’ at the end of your message.
3. Signature
 This part consists at least of three parts : date, your signature, and your name.
